Job summary

Boughey Distribution in Crewe is expanding its team and seeks experienced Reach Truck Drivers for permanent night shifts (6pm–6am) on a 4 on 4 off pattern. You will handle stock checks, order picking, packing, dispatching, and paperwork, ensuring safe, accurate warehouse operations.

Applicants should have reach truck experience; refresher courses can be provided. The role is physically demanding and requires good teamwork, safety awareness, and commitment to safe manual handling.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a reach truck; refresher courses available for expired licenses.
• Comfortable on your feet; this is a hands-on role.
• Demonstrate safety awareness and a proactive attitude toward manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Operate Reach Trucks safely and efficiently, following health and safety protocols.
• Pick orders from lists and locate stock as required.
• Pack orders for dispatch and ensure correct paperwork is completed.
• Dispatch goods to customers and maintain accurate records.
• Receive, check and store products from suppliers securely.
• Report shortages and damages to the Team Leader promptly.

Due to continued growth, we are growing our team in Crewe! We are looking to appoint experienced Reach Truck Drivers on a permanent contract working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, night shifts, 6pm to 6am!

Our Reach Truck Operatives work across a range of duties including but not limited to checking stock, goods and location controlling, picking and handballing.

Day to Day

• Operate Reach Truck’s in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
• Picking orders from pick lists and locate stock as and when required.
• Packing orders ready for dispatch.
• Dispatching goods to our customers.
• Completing all paperwork and documents as required.
• Receiving, checking and storing products from suppliers in a safe and secure manner.
• Report all shortages and damages found to the Team Leader immediately.

What will you bring?

• Previousexperienceoperatinga Reach Truck: refresher courses can be provided for expired licenses.
• Comfortable on your feet – this is a hands-on role that involves lifting and carrying.
• A team player with a positive attitude towards work.
• Understanding and appreciation for safe manual handling practices and is Health & Safety aware.
