Job summary

Boughey Distribution is seeking a driver for night shifts on a 5 on, 3 off pattern at the Wardle, Nantwich site. You will perform vehicle checks, ensure timely deliveries, and assist with yard operations as needed.

Requires a Category C&E license, CPC, tachograph card, and previous Class 1 vehicle experience. Benefits include a pension scheme, life assurance, and various employee perks.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks at start and end of each shift, adhering to HGV rules.
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
• Maneouvre trucks into loading/unloading positions and secure loads; assist in yard as required.

Day to Day

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift complying with all HGV driving rules throughout your shift to ensure there is no unnecessary damage to vehicles
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring loads are secured, provide support in the yard including handball or pump truck deliveries where required

What will you bring?

• A valid category C&E license is essential
• Current CPC and tachograph card with a good understanding of driver hours regulations
• Previousexperience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
• Excellent communication skills to be able to handle both customer queries at point of delivery and collaborate effectively with the Boughey team on site
