Job summary

Boughey Distribution operates from Wardle/Nantwich with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern from 6am to 6pm. As a Reach Truck Operative you will check stock, control locations, pick and handball orders, and dispatch goods to customers.

The role requires hands-on accuracy, teamwork, and a good grasp of health and safety requirements, with training opportunities and a strong benefits package from Boughey.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a Reach Truck; refresher training available.
• Must be comfortable lifting and handling in a hands-on role.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Health & safety awareness and adherence to policy.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders from pick lists and locate stock.
• Pack orders for dispatch and ensure accurate documentation.
• Dispatch goods to customers and update systems.
• Receive, check and store products safely from suppliers.
• Report shortages or damages to Team Leader promptly.
• Operate Reach truck and other mobile plant as required.

Reach Truck Operative

Due to continued growth, we are expanding our teams across our Wardle, Nantwich site across a number of different teams working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 6am to 6pm. Our Reach Truck Operatives work across a range of duties including but not limited to checking stock, goods and location controlling, picking and handballing.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Picking orders from pick lists and locating stock as and when required
• Packing orders ready for dispatch
• Dispatching goods to our customers
• Completing all paperwork and documents as required
• Receiving, checking and storing products from suppliers in a safe and secure manner
• Reporting all shortages and damages found to the Team Leader immediately
• Be aware of and adhere to the Company's Health & Safety Policy, taking responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of yourself and others
• Operate Reach truck and other mobile plant when required

What will you bring?

• Previous experience operating a Reach Truck: refresher courses can be provided
• Comfortable on your feet; this is a hands-on role that involves lifting and carrying
• A team player with a positive attitude towards work
• Strong communication skills
• Computer literate
• Understanding and appreciation for safe manual handling practices and is Health & Safety aware
