Job summary

Cumberland Council is seeking a compassionate Reablement Support Worker to help people in Carlisle and surrounding areas stay independent at home. You will assist with daily tasks and personal care, supporting recovery after a hospital stay as part of our 24/7 Support at Home service.

No formal qualifications are required—comprehensive paid training will prepare you to deliver person-centred, strength-based reablement and to work with service users across varied hours.

Qualifications

• No experience or qualifications required; full paid training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Enable individuals to remain in their own homes and support their recovery after a hospital stay.
• Provide physical and emotional care, personal care and support with everyday tasks.
• Work flexible shifts between 7.30am – 9.30pm, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
