Job summary

Bedford Borough Council is seeking a Reablement Support Worker to assist adults in their own homes with personal care and daily living activities. The role requires a valid driving licence and car access, with shifts running 7:30am–10pm on a two‑weekly rota.

Training is provided; NVQ level 2 in Care is desirable. The post offers a 25-hour per week contract with a market rate supplement and a pro‑rata salary of £25,614–£26,016 per year.

Qualifications

• Care experience or willingness to undergo training.
• Must be able to carry out personal care tasks.
• Experience in manual handling is preferred, training will be given.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care to service users.
• Travel between service users' homes within a given timescale.
• Be available for shifts between 7:30am and 10pm, 365 days a year, on a two‑weekly rota.
