Job summary

JRL Group is seeking a permanent Project Manager to lead landmark Birmingham city centre construction projects. You will manage detailed schedules, cost estimation, and contract terms while ensuring safety, permits, and regulatory compliance are met.

The role requires a trades background or construction degree, CSCS and SMSTS, and a proven track record on RC frame structures. You will coordinate on-site teams, manage health and safety documentation, and drive project reporting from initiation

Qualifications

• Manage the project in a highly detailed manner to schedule deliverables and accurately estimate costs.
• Negotiate terms of all project agreements and ensure scope and contract limitations are understood.
• Obtain permits and licenses; ensure safety and environmental requirements are met to a high standard.
• Oversee all on-site work to follow the construction programme, on budget and on time.
• Lead and coordinate a site team and stay highly organized.
• Develop and adhere to health and safety documentation and method statements.
• Monitor project reporting, costs and highlight exceptions.
• Act as Temporary Works Coordinator, coordinating temporary works designs and permits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and negotiate project contracts and ensure all parties understand scope.
• Ensure permits, licenses and safety standards are met on site.
