Job summary

Greencore Bo'ness is seeking a Raw Material Quality Auditor (QA) to ensure incoming raw materials and packaging meet customer, business and legal requirements. You will monitor supplier quality, perform sampling and maintain real-time records to support continuous improvement.

This permanent, site-based role operates Sundays to Thursdays, 07:00–15:00. You will apply QMS, GMP and HACCP, investigate non-conformances, drive corrective actions, and work closely with suppliers and internal teams to

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems and raw material assurance within a manufacturing environment.
• Confidence conducting audits and applying QMS, GMP and HACCP requirements.
• Ability to assess raw materials and packaging against specifications with a high level of accuracy.
• Experience managing supplier non-conformances and supporting root cause analysis.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor KPIs and identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Clear and confident communication skills when working with internal teams and suppliers.
• A hands-on, practical approach with a strong presence in operational environments.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assessing incoming raw materials and packaging against specifications and approved supplier standards
• Communicating out-of-specification materials promptly to minimise operational impact
• Maintaining accurate, real-time records and identifying anomalies in documentation
• Conducting scheduled and ad-hoc sampling, reporting results and following corrective actions to closure
• Monitoring and improving KPI performance, supporting investigations and audits
• Participating in internal, customer and group technical audits to ensure compliance with QMS, GMP and HACCP
• Identifying and escalating non-conformances, recommending improvements and reducing recurring issues
• Managing supplier interactions, ensuring non-conformances are addressed and root causes resolved
• Investigating customer complaints, maintaining traceability and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
• Promoting health, safety and compliance, reporting hazards and supporting continuous improvement
