Job summary

Greencore is seeking a Raw Material Quality Auditor (QA) for our Bo'ness site. You will monitor incoming raw materials and packaging to meet specifications and supplier standards, and you will support the delivery of quality across manufacturing lines.

You will conduct sampling, report results, and drive corrective actions, while maintaining records and supporting audits under QMS, GMP and HACCP. This role is permanent, site-based, Sunday to Thursday, 07:00–15:00, with a competitive benefits

Qualifications

• Experience in QA within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of food safety and quality systems
• Ability to audit against GMP and HACCP standards
• Ability to analyse supplier performance and material quality

This particular role is based at our Bakkavor Salads Bo'ness site, which employs over 1,000 people and produces food-to-go salads and salad accompaniments to a number of customers. It is located 3.5 miles from Linlithgow and 8 miles to Falkirk.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this busy and dynamic role, you will ensure customer, business and legal requirements for raw materials and supplier quality assurance are consistently met by monitoring and assessing the quality of all incoming raw materials, including packaging.

Role Accountabilities

• Assessing incoming raw materials and packaging against specifications and approved supplier standards
• Communicating out-of-specification materials promptly to minimise operational impact
• Maintaining accurate, real-time records and identifying anomalies in documentation
• Conducting scheduled and ad-hoc sampling, reporting results and following corrective actions to closure
• Monitoring and improving KPI performance, supporting investigations and audits
• Participating in internal, customer and group technical audits to ensure compliance with QMS, GMP and HACCP
• Identifying and escalating non-conformances, recommending improvements and reducing recurring issues
• Managing supplier interactions, ensuring non-conformances are addressed and root causes resolved
• Investigating customer complaints, maintaining traceability and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
• Promoting health, safety and compliance, reporting hazards and supporting continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

• Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems and raw material assurance within a manufacturing environment
• Confidence conducting audits and applying QMS, GMP and HACCP requirements
• Ability to assess raw materials and packaging against specifications with a high level of accuracy
• Experience managing supplier non-conformances and supporting root cause analysis
• Strong analytical skills to monitor KPIs and identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Clear and confident communication skills when working with internal teams and suppliers
• A hands‑on, practical approach with a strong presence in operational environments
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
