Job summary

South Gloucestershire Council is hiring a Casual Care Responder to provide planned and emergency home visits within the community. You will support residents with urgent needs, using a 4x4 vehicle and equipment to ensure safety and independence. A DBS check and driving licence are required, with pro-rata hours and a casual contract.

The role involves recording visits, collaborating with practitioners, and following safeguarding procedures to protect vulnerable people in the community.

Responsibilities

• Support residents at home after a crisis to promote independence and safety.
• Maintain accurate records of visits in line with council policies and standards.
• Work with other professionals to implement care plans and make appropriate referrals.
• Respond to emergencies using available equipment and transport, including a Raizer lifting chair.
