Job summary

GB Railfreight is seeking applicants for a structured training pathway in Peterborough to become a licensed Train Driver. The role entails completing a comprehensive classroom and practical programme overseen by our Training & Standards team.

Successful candidates will undergo a 15-week training block with no annual leave, and courses are scheduled to commence in the near future. The salary during training is £28,937 per annum, and candidates must meet all eligibility criteria including a UK

Qualifications

• Must have passed Train Driver Psychometric Assessment within the past 5 years.
• Must live within 45 minutes of Peterborough.
• Must be over 21 with a clean UK Manual Car Drivers licence.
• Must PASS a full TDLC railway medical ahead of training.

Responsibilities

• Attend a comprehensive training and assessment programme led by the Training & Standards Department at our Peterborough Training school to obtain a Train Drivers Licence.
• Classroom training will be required for 15 weeks without disruption (no annual leave). Training courses are planned to commence in coming months.
