Job summary

GB Railfreight is recruiting for trainees who will undertake a comprehensive training and assessment programme to obtain a Train Drivers Licence. Training will be delivered by the Training & Standards Department at the state-of-the-art Training School in Peterborough, with classroom sessions lasting 15 weeks and no annual leave during training.

Applicants must pass the psychometric assessment within the last five years, live within 45 minutes of London Gateway, be over 21 with a clean UK manual

Qualifications

• Must have passed Train Driver Psychometric Assessment within the last 5 years.
• Must live within 45 minutes of London Gateway.
• Must be over 21 with a clean UK Manual Car Drivers licence.

Responsibilities

• Attend a comprehensive training and assessment programme led by the Training & Standards Department in Peterborough to obtain a Train Drivers Licence.
• Complete classroom training without disruption for 15 weeks and undergo the related assessments.
• Prepare for and pass the TDLC railway medical ahead of the training (arranged if successful at interview).
