Carlisle Support Services is seeking a Railway Safety and Security Officer to join our prestigious rail contract in the UK. You will help keep passengers and staff safe, providing a smart, visible security presence on stations and trains, with full training provided.

You don't need prior railway experience – just reliability, flexibility and a proactive approach. You'll work as part of a team, following established procedures and engaging with the public to deter risk.

Qualifications

• SIA Guarding or Door Supervision licence
• 5 years' checkable work and address history
• Reliable, punctual, flexible and smart in appearance
• Friendly, approachable and always professional
• Enthusiastic and motivated to do a great job
• Experience in a security or customer-facing environment preferred
• Good people skills and client interaction
• Full UK driving licence with no points – essential
• Willing to develop across the network

Responsibilities

• Ensuring colleague and passenger safety
• Providing a smart, visible, proactive and engaging security presence and deterrent
• Managing conflict calmly and effectively
• Controlling access and egress, and conducting security patrols
• Engaging with members of the public professionally
