Job summary

Ferrovial Construction is seeking a Railhead & Track Construction Agent to deliver safe, on-time railhead infrastructure and track works across a section of the HS2 programme. You will lead construction teams, coordinate subcontractors, manage logistics and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong planning, stakeholder management and cost control capabilities, with significant experience in major rail projects and complex interfaces.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering major rail infrastructure, track construction or civil engineering projects.
• Experience in constructing railheads, logistics hubs, construction compounds or railway access facilities.
• Strong knowledge of track construction methodologies including slab and conventional track, S&C installation and renewals.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary construction teams, subcontractors and supply chains.
• Strong understanding of construction planning, programme management and site delivery.
• Experience managing complex stakeholder and contractor interfaces on large infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of railway construction standards, safe systems of work and industry best practice.
• Commercially aware with experience operating in cost-conscious and contractual environments.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe and efficient delivery of railhead infrastructure and track construction from mobilisation to completion.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor site activities, teams, subcontractors, plant and materials to hit programme and cost objectives.
• Develop detailed construction programmes, access plans and logistic arrangements.
• Manage interfaces between railhead development, logistics, track systems and civil works contractors.
• Coordinate procurement of rail, trackform, S&C components and related infrastructure.
• Promote safety, lead inspections, audits and quality assurance across works.
