Job summary

Ferrovial Construction is delivering HS2 track infrastructure, overseeing railhead and track installation across Lot 3 in the Birmingham region. The Construction Manager will lead Agents, engineers and subcontractors to deliver safe, on-time railhead works while coordinating with logistics and design teams.

The role requires strong leadership, programme discipline and commercial awareness, with a focus on meeting cost, quality and safety targets in a complex, high-profile environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering major rail infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading multiple construction teams and subcontractors.
• Strong programme, productivity and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Lead Agent-level teams across multiple fronts and construction disciplines.
• Drive short and medium-term delivery planning with labour, plant, materials and access.
• Monitor productivity and implement improvements to support project delivery objectives.
• Manage delivery against the approved programme, including look-ahead planning.
• Develop recovery plans for delayed activities and manage risks and constraints.
• Review productivity and resource forecasts; maintain records of changes and variations.
• Coordinate interfaces between railheads, logistics, track installation, designers and contractors.
• Lead delivery coordination meetings and elevate significant issues to the Project Manager.
• Provide visible health, safety and environmental leadership and ensure compliance with standards.
• Ensure works comply with approved designs and specifications and support testing and handover activities.
