Job summary

Millenium Site Services is seeking a Responsible Welding Coordinator to oversee welding quality and compliance across our rail sector operations. You will ensure welding activities meet EN 15085/ISO 3834 standards, working with production, quality, and engineering teams to sustain zero-defect output.

The role requires a recognised RWC qualification (EN ISO 14731) or equivalent, with experience in rail or heavy engineering, and a strong track record managing WPS/WPQR and welder qualification

Qualifications

• RWC qualification (EN ISO 14731) or equivalent such as IWE/IWT/IWS.
• Experience coordinating welding or quality in rail or heavy engineering.
• Strong knowledge of EN 15085 and ISO 3834.
• Experience managing WPS/WPQR and welder qualification records.
• Confident with auditors, clients, and certification bodies.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee welding quality and compliance across operations.
• Develop and maintain WPS/WPQR.
• Keep welder qualifications up to date.
• Oversee welding inspection, NDT liaison, and NCRs.
• Support audits by internal, client, and certification bodies.
• Provide technical guidance and training to welding staff.
• Investigate welding defects and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain traceability and certification records.
