Job summary

Ford & Stanley Talent Services Group is seeking Electrical Fitters, Vehicle Electrical Technicians and Auto Electricians to join a rail-electrification project in the Milton Keynes area. You will be responsible for wiring, electrical testing, fault-finding and wiring modifications on passenger rail vehicles.

Join a skilled team working to modernise fleet systems, with a full UK driving licence and the ability to pass rail medical screening.

Qualifications

• Hands-on wiring and electrical testing experience suitable for rail industry.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Ability to pass Rail Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Carry out wiring, crimping, cable routing and fault-finding on passenger rail vehicles.
• Perform electrical modifications and installation work from technical drawings and schematics.
• Inspect, repair and rectify damaged cables, connectors and electrical components.
• Work with large volumes of cabling, maintaining high workmanship standards and attention to detail.
• Interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings to guide work.
• Support mechanical strip and rebuild activities on underframe equipment including battery boxes and control boxes.
