Ford & Stanley Talentwise is seeking Electrical Fitters, Vehicle Electrical Technicians and Auto Electricians with hands-on wiring and electrical testing experience to transfer their skills into the rail industry, modernising passenger rail vehicles. You will carry out wiring, cabling and fault-finding across a fleet, working from technical drawings and wiring schematics.

Rotating shifts 6:00am–2:00pm and 2:00pm–10:00pm are available, with Milton Keynes as the working base.

Competenze

Experience with wiring, cabling and electrical testing on passenger rail vehicles.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
Experience with hand and power tools in production/maintenance environment.
Full UK Driving Licence; able to pass Rail Medical.

Mansioni

Carry out wiring, crimping, cable routing and fault-finding activities on passenger rail vehicles.
Perform electrical modifications and installation work using technical drawings and wiring schematics.
Inspect, repair and rectify damaged cables, connectors and electrical components.
Work with large volumes of cabling, ensuring attention to detail and high workmanship standards.
Interpret and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and engineering drawings.
Support mechanical strip and rebuild activities on underframe equipment including battery boxes, fuse boxes, air conditioning units and sander control boxes.
