Job summary

Network Rail in London is seeking a telecoms engineer to deliver installation, commissioning and testing of telecoms infrastructure across the UK. You will work with Lead Engineers and project managers to configure systems and migrate services from legacy networks.

The role requires extensive telecoms experience, trackside safety knowledge, and a degree in engineering or equivalent. Hybrid working options are available, with location based in London or other major sites.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering telecoms equipment.
• Experience in telecoms installation, testing and fault-finding.
• Knowledge of trackside environment safety procedures.
• IWA or higher track safety qualification.
• Understanding of CDM and health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver installation, commissioning and testing of telecoms infrastructure across the UK.
• Perform site-based and network testing and report results per plans.
• Configure telecoms systems and provision circuits for service migrations.
• Carry out quality assurance inspections of third-party installations and resolve issues.
• Undertake post-handover asset audits to confirm designs are implemented.
