Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Telecoms Design CRE to support Network Rail enhancement, renewal and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects in London, with hybrid work. The role focuses on the safe, compliant delivery of telecommunications engineering activities, especially Operational Communications systems.

You will act as CRE for telecoms, provide technical assurance and leadership, ensure standards compliance, plan and deliver telecoms works, manage interfaces across rail

Qualifications

• Must have rail telecoms project experience in the UK.
• Experience acting as CRE or senior telecommunications engineer on Network Rail projects is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Operational Communications systems and railway telecoms infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Design Contractor's Responsible Engineer (CRE) for telecoms.
• Provide technical assurance and engineering leadership.
• Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards and legislation.
• Plan and deliver telecommunications works and lead Operational Communications systems delivery.
• Manage interfaces across telecoms, signalling, E&P, civils, track and station systems.
• Participate in design reviews, IDC/IDR, HAZIDs and value engineering workshops.
