Job summary

CAF Rail UK is seeking a skilled technician to diagnose faults across electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems on new trains in a depot environment. You will use electrical schematics, diagnostic software and testing equipment to identify issues and plan effective repairs.

With 3 years post-apprenticeship experience and an NVQ Level 3 in electrical/mechanical engineering, you will work across varied shifts to maintain passenger service availability and reliability.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in electrical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years post-apprenticeship experience.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
• Proficiency with diagnosing faults across multiple train systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform root cause analysis on trains in depot.
• Carry out corrective actions and repairs to ensure service availability and reliability.
