Job summary

CAF is seeking a technically skilled engineer to diagnose faults and perform root cause analysis across electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic subsystems on an advanced fleet. You will carry out corrective actions and repairs on new trains in a depot, ensuring high levels of passenger service reliability.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in electrical/ mechanical engineering (or equivalent) plus 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience.
• Experience in detecting faults and carrying out root cause analysis across multiple systems (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic).
• Able to interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematic diagrams and proficient in using diagnostic software and test&measuring equipment.
• Hold a valid driver's license and have flexible shifts including weekends, day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and conduct root cause analysis for an advanced fleet across electrical, pneumatic & hydraulic systems.
• Perform corrective actions and repairs on newly built trains in a depot to ensure passenger service availability and reliability.
