Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Systems Integration Engineering Manager to join the HS2 team in London. The role focuses on driving integration across contractors, especially at construction interfaces, ensuring designs translate through construction and into verification and handover.

The candidate should have a railway, multidisciplinary engineering background with strong systems engineering knowledge and experience delivering major system integration projects on rail infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Railway/UK rail experience and systems engineering background.
• Experience on major multidisciplinary system integration projects.
• Past roles in engineering management or integration (similar to a CEM).
• Ability to drive interfaces from problem identification to delivery.
• Hands-on approach with willingness to work in the detail.

Responsibilities

• Nurture integration and collaboration between contractors, resolving problems and identifying routes to resolution.
• Dive into the detail of engineering systems and interactions between components and disciplines.
• Manage construction interfaces and guide designs through verification and validation cycles.
• Build evidence, coordinate handovers, and ensure information flow.
• Bridge communication between disciplines and, where needed, connect to requirements and system safety teams.
• Understand the nuts and bolts of railway systems, including comms, power, and software connections.
