Job summary

High Speed Two Ltd (HS2) in London is seeking a Functional Integration Engineer to join the central Systems Integration team. You will coordinate the integration of signalling, rolling stock, SCADA and infrastructure interfaces, ensuring safe, efficient operation.

The role emphasizes systems thinking, interface management, and operational readiness across the end-to-end lifecycle, with hybrid working and strong development opportunities within a major infrastructure programme.

Responsibilities

• Support the functional integration of complex railway and operational systems including signalling, rolling stock, SCADA and interfaces.
• Analyse how systems communicate, interact and function together across the lifecycle from requirements to testing and commissioning.
• Define integrated technical solutions across the railway lifecycle and support testing, commissioning and operational readiness.
• Work within the Systems Integration framework to manage interfaces, information flows and architecture.
• Utilise model-based systems engineering practices to map interactions and ensure safety and reliability.
