Job summary

Hitachi Rail UK Limited is seeking a motivated Refuelling Operative to service and replenish trains at Bounds Green Train Maintenance Centre in London. The role entails refuelling, AdBlue, toilet systems, water, and windshield wash with strict MMS record-keeping.

This permanent onsite position operates on a rotating night shift, with a base salary of £36,996 plus a 15% shift allowance and a £6,000 location allowance.

Qualifications

• Awareness or experience of safe working practices including Manual Handling, COSHH, working at height and powered plant/tools.
• Relevant experience gained within maintenance, engineering, rail, transport, logistics or another operational environment.
• Ability to understand and follow safe systems of work, procedures and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Undertake servicing and replenishment of train fluids and consumables (Diesel, AdBlue, toilet systems, fresh water, windshield wash).
• Record all servicing in the Maintenance Management System (MMS).
• Carry out daily checks of service spine equipment and keep area tidy and clean.
