Job summary

Hitachi Rail UK Limited is seeking a motivated Refuelling Operative for Bounds Green Train Maintenance Centre, London. The role covers diesel/AdBlue replenishment, toilet system servicing, and fluids management within a rotating night-shift schedule.

You will work with the maintenance team to support planned and corrective tasks, ensuring safe procedures and accurate MMS records. A permanent, onsite position with a competitive package and benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Awareness of safe working practices including Manual Handling, COSHH and working at height.
• Experience in maintenance, rail, transport, logistics or similar operational environment.
• Ability to record information using MMS and follow safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Replenishment of Diesel and AdBlue for trains.
• Toilet system servicing and fresh water replenishment for toilets/galley.
• Record servicing in MMS and report defects to Team Leader.
• Support maintenance staff with corrective and preventative tasks.
• Ensure materials are labelled and returned to stores per procedure.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with lean safety practices.
