Job summary

Aureos Rail is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the Laindon-based team, reporting to the Commercial Manager. The role supports contract delivery, profitability, cash management and reporting across schemes within the Rail Business Unit.

The successful candidate will handle applications, cost control and forecasting, with opportunities to gain experience across the business and develop professionally in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial and quantity surveying within rail or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to contribute to cost control, reporting and profitability.
• Understanding of CVRs, forecasting data and cost-to-complete processes.

Responsibilities

• Capably submit applications and control credit processes.
• Understand income forecast and pricing of variations.
• Understand the change control system and project risk.
• Produce cost‑to‑complete data and CVRs with support.
• Assist with weekly cost-to-complete and budget reviews.
• Attend project progress meetings and review site records.
• Assist with monthly financial performance reports.
