Job summary

Ganymede Solutions is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to support a major rail redevelopment programme in the South East. The role involves pre-contract cost estimating, budget development, and commercial input across Civils and M&E disciplines, with involvement from outline designs through procurement.

The ideal candidate will have rail/infrastructure experience, strong estimating skills, and a good grasp of NEC contracts, enabling robust business cases and procurement strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience in rail infrastructure and cost estimating.
• Strong pre-contract commercial experience.
• Ability to interpret designs and produce accurate cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Preparing cost estimates from outline designs.
• Developing project budgets and supporting business cases.
• Providing commercial input during the pre-contract stage.
• Supporting procurement and tender activities.
• Reviewing contractor quotations and cost submissions.
• Cost forecasting and commercial reporting.
• Working across civils and M&E asset projects.
