AECOM is seeking an exceptional Project Director to lead major rail infrastructure projects across the UK and Europe. The role requires end-to-end leadership, governance, and strong client/stakeholder engagement at senior levels. Hybrid work options and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams are offered.

You will drive mobilisation, planning, delivery, and assurance, overseeing cost, schedule, risk, and quality across complex interfaces while mentoring future leaders in the rail business.

• Proven senior leadership experience in rail projects.
• Experience delivering large-scale, complex infrastructure.
• Ability to manage cost, schedule, risk, quality and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to major rail projects and programmes.
• Lead project mobilisation, implementation and transition through the project lifecycle.
• Maintain strong relationships with senior client representatives, sponsors, operators and stakeholders.
• Own project delivery strategy, governance, performance and outcomes.
• Lead the development and mentoring of senior project managers for succession.
