Job summary

AECOM Infrastructure and Environment UK Limited is seeking a Senior Rail Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance team in the UK. The role focuses on rail projects, leading safety engineering professionals and shaping project delivery across the lifecycle.

You will develop system definitions, requirements and architectures, while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and clients to ensure quality and interoperability across complex rail systems.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience of railway systems safety and assurance inc. system safety and interoperability.
• Knowledge of UK Health and Safety Legislation and Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver: Develop System Engineering plans and the definition of technical requirements and system architectures.
• Oversee: Manage technical requirements using DOORS, ComplyPro and deliver systems engineering processes that support customer requirements.
• Provide Expertise: Evaluate interrelationships of requirements and design, develop scopes and work packages for clients.
• Ensure Quality: Provide technical input to studies and design within area of expertise and develop cost-effective procedures.
• Collaborate: Participate in multi-disciplinary reviews and prepare technical specifications and budget inputs.
