Job summary

AECOM seeks an Associate Director – Systems to join the UK & Ireland SESA leadership team, delivering senior technical, capability and portfolio leadership for Systems Engineering and Integration across rail projects.

The role focuses on strengthening capability, ensuring lifecycle performance, and guiding across governance, interfaces, verification, validation and relationships with clients and stakeholders in the UK and Ireland.

Qualifications

Engineering, Systems Engineering or relevant technical degree, or equivalent experience.
Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional standing.
Strong practical experience across requirements management, systems integration, interface management, V&V, configuration/change management and technical assurance.

Responsibilities

Lead Systems Engineering across a portfolio of major railway projects and programmes.
Develop and implement proportionate Systems Engineering Management Plans and lifecycle strategies.
Lead requirements management strategies and plans.
Lead Systems Integration strategies for major programmes.
Support cross-discipline resolution of system‑level issues.
Act as trusted advisor to clients on Systems Engineering and complex-system integration.
