Job summary

Rullion is recruiting a Production Manager for a Derby-based rail manufacturing operation. You will lead production teams to deliver targets on time, safely and to customer specifications, ensuring compliance with quality standards and Network Rail requirements.

The role covers shift-based production management on a 37-hour week, including alternating morning and afternoon shifts, with weekend overtime available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (desirable).
• Man management experience of large groups of staff 10+.
• Experience in fleet and/or maintenance operations.
• Technical knowledge of Traction and Rolling Stock.
• Knowledge of Rail industry IT systems, Ravers, Trust and Gemini.
• Experience of maintenance management / service and delivery in the railway industry.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control production on a shift-by-shift basis.
• Identify staffing requirements for budgeted workloads.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Identify training and resource needs for effective production.
• Update IT systems related to work performed.
• Encourage staff development and training.
• Prioritise workload per traincare centre requirements.
• Maintain discipline and attendance.
