Job summary

Porterbrook, Long Marston, is seeking an exceptional Rail Operations Manager to lead the LM RIC rail operations team and plan daily activities. You will ensure safe delivery of operations plans, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement in safety and performance.

Key responsibilities include coordinating training/competence, fatigue risk management, audits, and stakeholder liaison. A strong focus on safety culture and regulatory standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of rail operations, mainline and depot.
• Experience leading rail operations teams and drivers/shunters.
• Demonstrated safety and regulatory compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage LM RIC rail operations team to safely deliver plans.
• Develop rosters ensuring sufficient resources for operations.
• Lead daily/weekly rail operations planning meetings.
• Ensure competence of team and fatigue risk management.
• Monitor safety events, audits and KPI delivery.
• Coordinate with external customers and third parties.
