Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is recruiting for a Production Manager role in Derby for a long-term contract within the rail rolling stock sector. You will lead daily production activities, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery while working with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, planning and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced engineering environment; experience in rail or transferable sectors is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience leading production teams in manufacturing/engineering environments.
• Experience in rail rolling stock or transferable sectors is preferred.
• Ex-Forces personnel with relevant leadership experience are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities to meet targets while maintaining safety, quality and productivity.
• Collaborate with engineering, planning, quality and project teams to drive improvements.
• Manage resources, production planning and workflow to optimise output.
• Monitor KPIs and implement measures to maximise productivity and efficiency.
• Promote a strong health, safety and quality culture across the operation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and resolve production challenges as they arise.
