Job summary
Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles, S.A. (CAF) UK is seeking a Performance Engineer to investigate safety, reliability and technical issues on rail vehicles, providing support to team leaders and technicians.
The role may involve some UK and Europe travel to engage with CAF projects and suppliers. Reporting to the Performance Manager, you will review in-service failures, maintenance records, vehicle data and defect reports daily, identify root causes, and implement technical improvements
Qualifications
- HND or above in an Engineering related discipline.
- Experience in a Systems Reliability and Performance role.
- PC literate with the ability to learn new software programmes quickly.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Proven experience in planning and organising.
- Experience writing technical reports.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and improve fleet reliability and performance.
- Review in-service failures and vehicle availability daily.
- Investigate safety and technical faults and support defect management.
- Produce detailed technical investigative reports and trend analyses.
- Collaborate with Production and Maintenance to implement changes.
