CAF Rail UK is seeking a Performance Engineer to investigate safety, reliability and technical issues across vehicle fleets. You will analyse failures, review maintenance data, and work with the Maintenance and Project teams to implement improvements and engineering changes.
You will use data systems like GMAO and LeadMind to build trend analyses, generate reports, and support warranty actions with suppliers. Occasional UK/Europe travel may be required.

Reporting to the Performance Manager, the role of Performance Engineer is responsible for the investigation of all safety, reliability and technical issues on the vehicles, providing technical support to team leaders and technicians.
As the Performance Engineer, you will review and analyse the in-service failures, maintenance records, vehicle data, client reports and defects, along with other sources of information daily. You will undertake regular reviews of defective material to establish the root cause and identify failure trends. You will work closely with the Project Support Engineer and the Maintenance team to identify and implement technical improvements, modifications and process engineering changes.
The role may on occasion involve some UK and Europe travel to engage with other CAF projects or suppliers.
