Job summary

Torrent Trackside is seeking a Mobile Fitter to cover the Basingstoke area. The role targets a capable plant fitter or mechanic with experience in small plant maintenance, electrical systems, battery powered tools, and rail/trackside related equipment.

The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, on-site, with a range of employee benefits and a commitment to ongoing development and safety standards.

Qualifications

Time served qualified plant fitter or mechanic.
Full UK driving licence.
Experience in maintenance and repair of small plant engines (petrol 2-stroke/4-stroke and diesel).
Knowledge of electrical systems and battery powered tools.
Experience with rail/trackside equipment is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Carry out maintenance, service, and repair of company and customer assets at customer premises.
Work on your own and as part of a team at customer premises ensuring equipment is maintained to manufacturer specifications.
Complete company paperwork and ensure safe working practices are observed and followed at all times.
Ensure van stock is kept to required level by ordering service and repair parts as needed.
