Job summary

Kier Rail is recruiting an MEP Technical Supervisor to oversee mechanical and electrical installations on rail projects nationwide. You will ensure works meet standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements as the client’s on-site representative.

Ideal candidates will have NVQ3 in mechanical/electrical engineering, CSCS and a testing/commissioning qualification, with strong knowledge of building regs and HSE requirements.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Extensive experience in M&E building services installation, inspection and commissioning.
• Knowledge of relevant building regulations and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect M&E/E&P installations to ensure compliance with drawings and standards.
• Conduct routine and ad hoc inspections enforcing health, safety and environmental regs.
• Maintain detailed site records including inspection reports and progress photos.
• Oversee testing and commissioning to verify design performance.
• Coordinate between the Construction Responsible Engineer and subcontractors.
