Job summary

Kier Rail is seeking an experienced MEP Technical Supervisor to join our nationwide Rail team. You will oversee mechanical and electrical installations on construction projects, ensuring compliance with drawings, standards, and health and safety requirements.

As the on-site client representative, you will coordinate with subcontractors and the Construction Responsible Engineer to deliver quality outcomes. The role offers a diverse, long-term project pipeline and opportunities for career

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Experience in M&E building services, installation, inspection, testing and commissioning.
• Knowledge of relevant building regulations, standards, and health & safety requirements.
• CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification (Testing and Commissioning qualification preferred).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect M&E/E&P and SISS installations to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct routine and ad hoc inspections, ensuring adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain detailed site records, including inspection reports, site instructions, and progress photos.
• Overseeing, witnessing and verifying testing and commissioning activities to ensure system performance meets design intent.
• Acting as the link between the Construction Responsible Engineer and subcontractors to ensure smooth coordination.
