Job summary

Kier Group plc's Rail team seeks an MEP Technical Supervisor to oversee on-site mechanical and electrical installations across nationwide projects. You will ensure works meet drawings, specifications, and safety standards while coordinating with subcontractors and the Construction Responsible Engineer.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Extensive experience in M&E building services, inspection, testing and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of relevant building regulations, standards and health & safety requirements.
• CSCS card or equivalent safety certification and Testing & Commissioning qualification (C&G 2391 or similar).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect M&E/E&P and SISS installations to ensure compliance with drawings, specs and standards.
• Conduct routine and ad hoc inspections, ensuring health, safety and environmental regulations are followed.
• Maintain detailed site records: inspection reports, site instructions, progress photos.
• Witness and verify testing and commissioning activities to ensure system performance meets design intent.
• Act as the link between Construction Responsible Engineer and subcontractors for smooth coordination.
