Job summary

WSP is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to provide site-based support for mechanical and public health building services designs for major railway stations and related buildings. You will liaise between the WSP design team and the main contractor and sub-contractors, helping ensure buildable, tested and commissioned designs.

You will assess design documentation, perform site surveys, attend design interfaces, progress meetings, and support submittal reviews and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Experience of mechanical building services design in Rail projects.
• Registration with a UK Engineering Institution.
• Understanding of Network Rail and Crossrail/HS2 standards and Building Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between the WSP design team and the main contractor and sub-contractors.
• Provide non-intrusive site surveys to gather information for the design team.
• Attend internal and external design, interface and progress meetings.
