Job summary

Alstom is hiring a Maintenance Technician at East Ham Depot to perform routine maintenance, repair and fault finding on 357 Electrostar and 720 Aventra Units. You will take responsibility for vehicle examinations in line with VMI’s and ensure safe, defect-free trains.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, strong problem solving and safety-focused workmanship. You’ll work under supervision, contributing to a safe, reliable rail network and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) required.
• Proven ability to fault-find electrical/mechanical systems.
• Practical hands-on approach with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance, repair and fault finding on units.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation prior to validation.
• Operate powered plant and lifting equipment.
• Ensure safe, professional workmanship and adherence to H&S.
