Job summary

A leading rail consultancy is seeking Fire Engineers to support engineering works in the North West & Central and Eastern regions. The role requires traveling to various Network Rail sites occasionally, with the opportunity to work from home. Candidates should have substantial experience in fire system design and assurance, and relevant qualifications including a degree in Fire Engineering. Qualifications

• Experience in the use and application of codes and standards such as BS 9992, BS 9999.
• Professional membership or accreditation via a relevant body such as CIBSE/IET.
• Degree in Fire Engineering or a similar discipline.
• Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (MIFireE).

Responsibilities

• Coordination of work with other contractors and Network Rail.
• Liaison with route engineers (discipline).
• Substantial experience in the design, installation, and commissioning of fire systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of codes and standards pertaining to the design of fire systems.
• Assurance of Fire Systems (limited to system design and commissioning).
• Participate in all engineering and development assurance activities.
