Job summary

Deploy Limited is seeking a Senior Project Engineer / Project Engineering Manager for a major Freight ETCS programme in Derby. The role focuses on providing technical direction to Project Engineers, ensuring engineering deliverables meet schedule and budget, and coordinating with Head of Engineering and partners.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of onboard train systems (ETCS, TPWS/AWS, GSM-R, Wi-Fi, CCTV, DAS).
• Proven delivery of installation or testing/commissioning for rail vehicle modifications.
• Willingness to work in Derby three days per week with Midlands travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ETCS Onboard Engineering team and align deliverables with project schedules.
• Provide direction and support to Project Engineers across the project.
• Develop and monitor engineering plans, budgets and timelines.
• Identify risks, delays and take proactive action.
