Job summary

Siemens Mobility Limited in Derby is seeking a Lead Control Systems Engineer to join our Rail Infrastructure team. You will lead the design, integration and testing of railway traffic management solutions across the project lifecycle, from bids to installation, with a focus on safety and standards.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to translate requirements into robust control systems, ensure quality, perform integration testing and support commissioning.

Qualifications

Strong background in system engineering and railway signalling
Membership of a relevant Engineering Institution
HNC/HND in Engineering or related subject
Experience with railway control systems and operations (desirable)
Experience with AWS, Mendix and GitLab (desirable)

Responsibilities

Design, develop and deliver Railway Traffic Management Systems as part of an engineering team
Develop system requirements and end user requirements
Manage data production and checking
Lead System and Integration Testing
Support FRACAS and post-commissioning issue resolution across teams
Ensure technical and safety standards are maintained for successful project delivery
