Job summary

Deploy Limited is seeking a Senior Project Engineer / Project Engineering Manager for the Derby-based Freight ETCS programme. You will provide technical direction to Project Engineers and ensure engineering activities meet project requirements and schedules.

The role involves coordinating with the engineering team, managing progress against budget and timelines, and ensuring safety and quality across all activities in a rail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with onboard railway systems design and installation.
• Track record delivering installation and/or testing/commissioning of rail vehicle modifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ETCS Onboard Engineering team to align deliverables with project schedules.
• Provide direction to Project Engineers across the project.
• Develop and monitor engineering plans with budget and timeline.
• Identify issues/delays and take proactive action.
• Collaborate with Head of Engineering and Work Package Managers to ensure efficient delivery.
