Rail Trainer / Assessor

Full Time | Permanent

£30,717 - £32,500 DOE

37 Hours | 39 Days Holiday | Pension

Looking to move from the railway into training?

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Rail Engineer to pass on their industry knowledge by training and assessing apprentices and commercial learners.

You’ll deliver practical and classroom-based training, assess learners, support them through their qualifications and help develop the next generation of rail professionals. No teaching experience is needed - full training can be provided.

We’re looking for someone with experience in:
  • Rail Engineering
  • Track, Infrastructure, Permanent Way or Rail Maintenance
  • Delivering practical engineering skills
  • Working safely within the rail industry
  • Supporting or mentoring others
You’ll ideally have:
  • Level 3 qualification in a Rail discipline
  • Current rail industry experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Assessor qualification (or willingness to gain one)
  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to gain one)
