Job summary

Henry Blue is seeking an experienced maintenance engineer to move into training and assessment as a General Maintenance Engineering Tutor Assessor in Telford, Shropshire. You’ll teach practical maintenance skills to engineering apprentices and conduct workplace assessments, while remaining hands-on in engineering.

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to move into training and assessment.

We’ve partnered with an independent apprentice training provider in the area. With a reputation of fantastic working culture, supportive staff and one of the best staff retention rates in the region. Not only will they support your personal development, but you’ll become a vital part of their department.

Working with engineering apprentices, you’ll teach practical maintenance skills, support learner development and carry out workplace assessments.

No previous teaching experience is necessary.

We’re looking for experience in:

• Mechanical maintenance
• Electrical maintenance
• Fault finding
• Preventative maintenance
• Reactive maintenance
• Health & Safety within engineering

Experience with PLCs or automation would be beneficial but isn’t essential.

You’ll need:

• Level 3 Engineering qualification (Or Above)
• Strong maintenance engineering background
• Good communication skills
• Passion for helping others develop
