Job summary

AECOM is seeking graduates to join its Rail Electrical Engineering team on the Graduate Development Programme. You will contribute to the design, integration and delivery of electrical systems across major railway projects, while developing your technical and professional skills.

You will gain hands-on experience with lighting, power distribution and BIM tools, collaborate with signalling and civils teams, and work toward chartership with the IET in a supportive, mentor-led environment.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge in electrical engineering for rail applications.
• Motivation to pursue chartership with the IET.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support design of rail electrical systems including lighting and power distribution.
• Assist in site surveys and inspections to inform design decisions.
• Use BIM tools to produce drawings and models.
• Collaborate with signalling, telecoms and civils teams for integrated designs.
• Support planning and phasing of electrical construction to minimise disruption.
