Job summary

MPI Limited seeks an experienced EHS Specialist for rail projects based in Glasgow. You will provide practical EHS guidance, monitor compliance with legislation and industry standards, and promote a safety culture across project teams and contractors.

You will work with management, engineering and delivery teams to identify and control EHS risks throughout project delivery, influencing safe practices in a complex environment. UK rail experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an EHS, HSE or SHE role within rail, construction or safety‑critical environments.
• NEBOSH Cert or equivalent safety qualification.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and environmental laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent EHS advice and support to project teams, site personnel and subcontractors.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments with corrective actions.
• Coordinate risk assessments, method statements and safe work procedures.
• Monitor compliance with UK regulations, company policies and client requirements.
• Support incident investigations and preventative actions.
• Prepare EHS performance reports for management and clients.
