Job summary

CAF Rail UK is seeking a skilled technician to diagnose faults across a fleet of trains in a depot setting. You will use electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics along with diagnostic software to identify root causes and implement effective repairs.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in electrical/mechanical engineering (or equivalent) and 3+ years post-apprenticeship experience. A valid driving license and flexibility for day/night/weekend shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in electrical/ mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience detecting faults and carrying out root cause analysis across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and conduct root cause analysis for an advanced train fleet.
• Perform corrective actions and repairs on trains in a depot to ensure service availability.
• Interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and use diagnostic software and test equipment.
